National Association for Veterinary Physiotherapists

NAVP is the national governing body for Veterinary Physiotherapists which Genevieve Kirk, Physiotherapist at Kirk Equine Performance is proud to be a member of. Eligibility for membership to this association is demanding, thereby assuring the quality of therapist your animal is guaranteed to receive. 

Requirements (information extracted from the NAVP website, https://www.navp.co.uk):

  1. Degree-level Veterinary Physiotherapy qualification

  2. Professional and public liability insurance

  3. Annual requirement and quota of Continued Professional Development training, to ensure that we as Veterinary Physiotherapists remain at the forefront of technology, modalities and research. 

  4. Therapists must abide by the professional code of conduct and ethics of NAVP

  5. Work alongside your Veterinary Surgeon (along current legislation requirements), as well as farriers, saddle fitters, trainers and any other equine health professional you as the owner desire we communicate with.
