Veterinary Physiotherapy
Veterinary Physiotherapy involves the application of clinical reasoning and modalities to restore, maintain and improve biomechanical function. This means that I have been taught methods that have been tried and tested in scientific and clinical settings, so my clients have peace of mind that their horse is in safe and well-trained hands.
Many events can cause horses to need Veterinary Physiotherapy help. A loss of their normal function may have resulted from injury, disease, training problems, prolonged period out of exercise or anatomical/conformational abnormalities. Common problems addressed by Veterinary Physiotherapy are wide-ranging.
The different treatments we use include Massage, electrotherapies and Remedial Exercise Programmes. Electrotherapies we currently offer include NMES, H-wave and LASER.
Legally, we require Veterinary referral before we can see your horse. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any queries about the process, or to consider if your horse would benefit from our services.
